The Best Anxiety Coping Mechanism

Hello you Brilliant Mind, 

Today, I am going to share with you the most amazing coping mechanism of your entire life. 

As someone who had crippling anxiety for over 20 years and did all things she could to cope with it (including but not limited to: bubble baths, meditation, walks in nature, talking to friends, going to therapy) 

And as someone who has helped dozens of women get rid of their anxiety I can honestly and confidently say that the very best way to deal with anxiety 

Is to just talk to it. 

Stop trying to suppress it. Stop villainizing it. 

Anxiety is not a problem. Anxiety is the symptom of a problem. 

Not to mention that trying to suppress anxiety is the same as having the Hulk go up against a toddler. 

The Hulk is always going to win. 

And it's not because Anxiety is a chaotic monster (though it feels like it), it's because it is there to protect you from something. 

When you try to deal with your anxiety in conscious ways, you're literally going against the most powerful thing in the world...your mind. 

Think about it. Your anxiety isn't just making you feel afraid. It's making you feel afraid because it is gathering ALL the scary things in the past and playing them non-stop in your mind so that you don't make the same mistakes again. 

Simultaneously, it is ALSO having you imagine all the worst case scenarios in the future to make sure you don't miss anything. 

AND WHILE IT"S DOING ALL THAT it is also analyzing what is happening at this very moment looking around for flaws making sure you notice them...just in case. 

And you want to go up against that with a bubble bath? 

Don't insult your own intelligence. 

Instead, do this: Ask it why it's there and YOU decide if that's a good reason for it to stay. If it's an outdated reason then give it a new job or have it leave. 

When you combine this with embodiment (living as the person who is anxiety-free) by acting and doing things that make you happy, you create a poor environment for anxiety to stay.
